Cat fish farming

In the Event folder, are pictures of the rearing to table size and the breeding of catfish. We are able to show some visits to the Centre including officials of Globalgiving, Mr Hecklinger, from USA and Mr Seth from United Kingdom. There is the visit of Indian Women to commit themselves to our sachet water purification which they sponsored. Thanks to Dr. Kanwa and her Team. In the pictures too, Dr Ola representing Dr. Helen Lawal (Miss Black Britain), presented a cheque of fund raised to help the Centre in Sign Language spread and other necessary spendings in the Centre.

The Inspection of our sachet water factory by NAFDAC in September 2012 by the officials was one of the events that has shown how hard we are working to be self sustainable. In a happy note FOTD has gotten the approval of NAFDAC to process and sell sachet water. The type of jewelry we make to sustain the Centre is there in addition to teaching disabled students to make them economically and socially independent.

The settlement of the 2009- 2011 students by NDE and Fed. Ministry of Women Affairs is futured . The equipment and tools are shown as they are received by the graduands. We happily showed the latest graduation in 2013 of the pictures of the students and the Founder of Friends of The Disabled.

Lastly we remember the coming into the Centre in 2005 of Sunday Chidinma whom we learnt was abandoned in LUTH by his parents. Sponsor A Child introduced him and sponsored him in our disability -friendly environment. Chidinma started his junior secondary education , moved on to Senior Secondary school and sat for his GCE in 2011 and made his six credits including English and Maths. Chidinma left Friends of The Disabled Centre early in 2012 and now works in the Emergency section of LUTH while he struggles to gain admission into the high Institution in the Country. We pray he succeeds soonest.
